The four-star Four Seasons Hotel & Leisure Club, Monaghan, is a family-owned and run independent hotel established in 1970 and consequently we’re celebrating over half a century in hospitality, with the business continually growing ever since.
Were very proud to say that we are located in Co. Monaghan, a very full ‘basket of eggs’ holding rolling hills, broad lakes, historic houses and pretty towns. County Monaghan is filled with treasures to discover and cultural experiences for inquiring minds. For every hill, there is a cultural activity of some kind to match. A county rich in natural beauty, walk its forest paths and explore the drumlin dotted landscape that inspired the poetry of Patrick Kavanagh. Situated in an excellent access point for both Northern and Southern Ireland, equidistance from Dublin and Belfast with a travel time of 90 minutes. You can walk just 1km along the Ulster Canal Greenway to the centre of Monaghan Town & 500m to the Monaghan Education Campus which is easily accessed from the (N2) Dublin - Derry By-pass.
The hotel offers a unique and contemporary setting whilst offering a 'home from home' ambience to allow for maximum comfort and a peaceful retreat from all the buzzing adventures.
We have a total of 59 all recently renovated bedrooms in the hotel in addition to a distillery inspired style bar, complemented by our vintage range kitchen restaurant, operating in conjunction with our award-winning 4Fit Leisure Club containing an 18m swimming pool, steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi and gym. All of which is complemented by the hotel’s mature and cosy gardens home to season-proof pops of colour, with heated sections should the weather demand it – It is Ireland after all, the only thing that can’t be predicted is the weather unfortunately.
Host to many types of private parties, groups & events – And although it doesn’t directly relate, we’re very proud to say that we have just been awarded the ‘Hotel Venue of the Year Ulster 2021’ award courtesy of WeddingsOnline – Hopefully that shows that we hold ourselves to very high standards – Four-star by title, but we always aim to be five-star by nature!
