Woodside Logistics Group is a family-owned logistics business that has been operating since 1967. Founded in 1966 by three brothers, the business started at the family farm supplying hay and potatoes. When transportation and distribution was privatised, this provided the opportunity for markthe family’s fleet of four vehicles to be used as carriage in exchange for payment - forming the establishment of Woodside Haulage.
Today the business has branched out to encompass Woodside Distribution for single pallet to part load transportation, Woodside Motorfreight for vehicle transportation, Woodside Tankfreight for bulk transport of liquids, powders and gases, and Woodside Global for global freight forwarding, making them now one of the leading transport companies in the UK and Ireland, with more than 650 employees operating a large fleet of vehicles and trailers.
Business operations are headquartered at the site of the original family farm in Ballynure, Co-Antrim, now replaced with a modern award winning state-of-the-art office building containing over 150 office-based staff. Facilities also include warehousing accredited to BRC Global Standards, cross-docking facilities, internal/external tank wash, maintenance and refurbishment workshops and vehicle parking.
The Group has additional depots in Dublin, Liverpool and Preston, operating centres at Cairnryan and Heysham, as well as additional vehicles based at, or adjacent to, customers’ premises in Ireland and the UK.
Our clients are many of Ireland and the UK’s leading manufacturers, retailers, and distributors. We operate across numerous markets to include Food, FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Medical, KBB (kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms), Automotive, Packaging, Consumer Goods, Construction and Electrical to name but a few.
