Management Accountant (qualified or part-qualified)
This role would ideally suit someone pursing their professional accounting qualifications and wishing to advance their career as a Management Accountant.
A key member of the finance team, the Management Accountant plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive financial insights and analysis, which are vital for strategic decision-making. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is keen to contribute to the financial health and growth of a medium-sized manufacturing company with a diverse, international customer base. Reporting to the CFO, the Management Accountant is responsible for managing and supervising the finance team activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate monthly financial reports, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
- Offer professional judgement on financial matters and advise on ways of improving business performance.
- Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial colleagues and stakeholders.
- Implement and oversee robust financial controls and systems within the company.
- Assist in the development and management of financial systems/policies.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Oversee the company’s accounting procedures and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as required.
- Stay informed of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
Skills and Qualifications
- Qualified accountant or part qualified accountant pursuing ACCA/ACA/CIMA
- Ideally between 2 to 5 years proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
- Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
