Our BNM Recycling Business Unit currently has a need for a HGV Mechanic on Permanent Contract. The role will be based in our office at Bord na Móna Recycling – Navan and will report directly to the Service Manager. The successful candidate will Assist in a busy workshop responsible for preventative, scheduled and breakdown maintenance on a fleet of recycling collection vehicles at the Navan site.

The Role:The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:
Provide assistance and support to the maintenance team as they carry out planned vehicle maintenance and servicing, CVRT preparation and repairs to a fleet of Recycling Collection Vehicles, Skip and Hook Loaders, and other vehicles within the fleet. Directly help with repair and maintenance processes and developing maintenance skills under the supervision of the maintenance team.· Assist in projects under lead mechanics supervision, and promote workshop cleanliness and safety. Gather and record information ensuring that vehicle records remain up to date. Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation in line with company, RSA and other governing bodies guidelines.·Co-operate fully with all provisions taken by the company for ensuring the Health and Safety, and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public.Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, direct reports, and wider team objectives.The Person:The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge, and attributes.Some workshop maintenance experience an advantage.Highly organized, driven, with good time management skills.Be innovative in your approach to work and possess the ability to network effectively· Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.
