We are expanding our team of commissioning experts and are seeking to hire a Mechanical Commissioning Lead. You will play an integral role in the lead out of commissioning activities for our client.

Your Job Description:
- Responsible for developing level 1- level 5 commissioning test documents.
- Develop QA/QC documents for the Vendor OSM equipment and the onsite utility equipment
- Prepare a sequential schedule to ensure all QA/QC inspections and commissioning testing are carried out in a manner that ensures the most efficient use of time and resources
- Document lessons learned and continually update QA/QC, commissioning and procedural documents to incorporate lessons learned
- Participate and support where required throughout all commissioning levels including pre-construction planning of the projected scope of work.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support complete commissioning and performance acceptance testing of the mechanical infrastructure systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations throughout the commissioning process.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates on commissioning progress and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Assist with vendor coordination and management.
- Support and perform design specification review, manufacturer submittals, one line drawing sets, and project schedule documentation.
- Provide test documentation that equipment is delivered, installed, and tested correctly and set to function properly for the customer.
- Oversee and participate in Functional performance testing (FPT) of client mechanical systems.
- Oversee and participate in the Execution of test scripts to confirm equipment and system operation to design specification.
- Responsible for ensuring installation complies with local codes and national standards.
- Non-Conformance Recording: Record instances of non-conformance and punch list items, providing detailed documentation and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to address and resolve issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the commissioning process.
- Conduct facility walk downs, turnover, and punch list reviews.
- General understanding of LEED specifications and requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 5 - 10 years’ experience in similar commissioning roles for major high-tech construction projects.
- Professional certification in commissioning (e.g., CCP, QCxP) is a plus.
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Knowledge of data centre operations and infrastructure.
- Good knowledge of Data centre Commissioning (levels 1-5).
- Able to communicate verbally, electronically and written to convey information in an effective manner. Technically skilled to act as the interface between disciplines, engineers and contractors.
- Need to understand equipment and system P&IDs, specifications and drawings and be able to identify field discrepancies for resolution.
- Knowledge of various Building Automation/Monitoring Systems (BAS/BMS), Air Handlers, Humidifiers, Chillers, Computer Room Air Conditioners/Handlers (CRAC/CRAH), Pressure/Temperature/Humidity sensors & Flowmeters. Understanding of Area Layout.
- Knowledge of mechanical trend analysis
- Understanding the sequence of construction and commissioning activities.
- Strong knowledge is required in the following areas: local and national codes; construction drawings/symbols; acceptable industry standard/practices.
- Strong experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
